The Moleanos Blue is a light grey / blue limestone, with fine to medium grain and presenting several brownish spots. It can show some slight signs of fossils throughout its surface. The Moleanos Blue is a fairly hard limestone, being found on both interior and exterior applications.
This limestone is a direct variation of the famous Moleanos Classic limestone. It is extracted in the same quarry as the Moleanos Classic, but with a more marginal extraction. This is a limestone with an incredible demand that is often not met by supply.
Compression strenght: 1550 Kg/cm2; Bending strenght: 141 Kg/cm2; Porosity: 1,7%; Water absorption: 0.6%
The Moleanos Blue has been an incredibly popular limestone to be used on both interior and exterior flooring applications. It has huge demand from markets like the United Kingdom, but also from markets in the Middle East, US and Asia. This is a preferential limestone for applications in cladding, flooring, detailed work and for wall coverings.
