And this industry is mostly based on softer types of stones such as the Moleanos limestones and some of its variations and alternatives.

Limestones

Some of the preferential limestones to be used on stonework and detailed decoration work are the Moleanos Fine or the Cabeca Veada. These are well known limestones that present a uniform colour, quantity and some ease to work/manufacture. Its light beige colour does a perfect job in terms of detailed stonework, where the craftsmanship is highlighted.

Markets

The markets that most demand Moleanos limestone stonework are quite specific, as well as its clientele. The most relevant markets by volume of sales are Russia, several Middle East countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar), as well as several European countries.

There is a growing demand from oil and gas rich countries such as Kazakhstan, Algeria and others, and the potential for growth in these countries is very high.
